The Philadelphia Eagles filled out their practice squad on Monday morning by re-signing veteran cornerback De’Vante Bausby www.eaglesfootballauthentics.com , according to an official announcement from the team.Bausby, who turns 26 in January, originally joined the Eagles’ practice squad early during their 2017 campaign. He spent the entire Super Bowl season with the team. Heading into 2018, it looked like Bausby was seriously going to challenge for a roster spot. Bausby really excelled in spring practices and began training camp by splitting first team nickel cornerback reps with Sidney Jones. But then Bausby struggled and ultimately fell out of favor. He was waived in final cuts. Bausby’s return gives the Eagles more depth in the secondary. Perhaps this is a sign that doesn’t necessarily bode well for the aforementioned Jones, who has missed Philadelphia’s last two games with a hamstring injury. Wallace suffered a fractured fibula during the Eagles’ Week 2 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He also seemingly underwent surgery on Tuesday:Losing Wallace hurts the Eagles’ deep passing game. Although the 32-year-old failed to log a reception in his first two games with Philadelphia, he was still running some of the fastest routes in the league (per NFL’s Next Gen Stats). It’s worth noting that Wallace is eligible to be activated to the Eagles’ roster after eight weeks. NFL teams are permitted to return two players from the IR list each season. It’s unclear, however, if Wallace will be physically ready to return. Another consideration is that the Eagles already have Mack Hollins and Richard Rodgers on IR and the team could look to activate those players.Philadelphia’s wide receiver situation is obviously dire.
